Inauguration of New Section Network in the United Kingdom
From 14–16 November 2025, a festive event and working conference took place at Emerson College in Forest Row (UK) to celebrate the inauguration of a section network for inclusive social and educational development in the UK, in the wake of last year’s founding of the Section for Inclusive Social Development at the Goetheanum.

The UK is one of a small handful of regions, where a circle of coordinators of research, professional education and network activities of the various sections of the School of Spiritual Science meet regularly and work together as a regional collegium. This form of working fosters transdisciplinary collaboration within the global community of the School of Spiritual Science by building shared awareness between the different sections and their fields of work among those who are active in the same geographic context.
Through a search process that included the members of the Section’s international Delegate’s Circle representing the different organizational networks in the UK, as well as the Section’s leadership, Paulamaria Blaxland-de Lange was identified as the UK Section Coordinator for the Section for Inclusive Social Development. Bringing together the other colleagues in the UK Section College, as well as members of the various organizations active in therapeutic education and inclusive social development and other interested members of the School of Spiritual Science, the event included a festive opening with a performance of harp, vocals and violin by The Weaverbird Folks, a performance of an experimental research production of Adam and Eve by a project group from the Performing Arts Section and the Marylebone Theatre at Rudolf Steiner House, introductions of the work of each of the section networks in the UK, presentations on the Point-Circle-Meditation and the impulses, tasks and vision of the Section for Inclusive Social Development by Jan Göschel, as well as an introduction to and experience of the renewed vision for Emerson College as a center for research and education in the sense of the mission of the School of Spiritual Science as a “university of the future”.
With warm thanks and appreciation for all who made this event possible, we look forward to further events and collaboration with the section network for inclusive social and educational development in the UK!
