Panel discussion: THE IDEA OF ANTHROPOSOPHY – STEINER 2025
In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Rudolf Steiner’s death, a video recording is dedicated to the “idea of anthroposophy” – with Philip Kovce, Wolfgang Held, and Sonja Zausch.
The discussion took place as part of the festival on Stuttgart’s Schlossplatz, organized and carried out – with the support of many individuals, associations, and organizations – by the Anthroposophical Society in Germany.
Waldorf education, Demeter, and Weleda are well-known brands and companies that were all inspired by anthroposophy. However, the ideas of anthroposophy itself are less well known. Philip Kovce, director of the Rudolf Steiner Archive, and Wolfgang Held, editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine Das Goetheanum, join Sonja Zausch in a dialogue forum in Stuttgart to discuss the fundamental principles and offer food for thought.
Another panel discussion, “THE CRITICISM OF ANTHROPOSOPHY,” can be found here:
Since its inception, anthroposophy has been the subject of fierce criticism. Among other things, it has been accused of racist tendencies and an unscientific approach. The two authors Jens Heisterkamp (editor-in-chief of the magazine Info3) and Wolfgang Müller (Das Rätsel Rudolf Steiner, Verlag Info3, 2025) join moderator Matthias Niedermann (Anthroposophical Society in Germany) in a dialogue forum in Stuttgart to explore these accusations and discuss approaches for dealing with them constructively.
Both contributions are in German.
