Intention

KRUG is an association of colleagues for professional dialogues and social interactions to accompany the content-related and structural developments of educational institutions involved in the training of teachers in anthroposophical curative education and inclusive social development.

The aim is to work fundamentally on the foundations of anthroposophical educational approaches, on conceptual issues for further training, linking the ideas of Steiner’s lecture series “Course on Education for Special Needs” with contemporary research and current topics. This is accompanied by the expansion of the network, support for the activities of educational institutions, further training of teachers with exchange of experience and updating of content, methodological and social issues of adult education, improvement of the professional culture and strengthening of professional esotericism.

History, organization of the collaboration

The international cooperation of the educational organizations of Eastern Europe began in 2004 with the Train the Trainers professional development project. In 2012, the cooperation within KRUG was renewed as a platform for professional interaction and exchange of experience in the field of training in anthroposophical curative education and social therapy, as a joint work with the challenges of modernity.

The basis for this work is the “Charter on Professional Education”, adopted by the Section’s International Training Circle in April 2016.
The Circle is a community of professionals who teach in vocational training and work in close cooperation with the Section and its Training Circle.

Project-related working groups are formed to address specific tasks, e.g. scientific research projects, including action research involving people with assistance needs, translation of specialist literature, creation of publications such as methodology-based practical manuals, guidelines for educational processes, cooperation with colleges and universities, etc.

The fundamental attitudes of those involved are cultivated as follows:
Respect for the subjective backgrounds of those involved, ability to engage in dialog with responsibility, continuity, willingness to develop, recognition of the regional profiles of the educational programs, authenticity of the programs.
